
The other day on the Agenda VLC talk, I participated, before starting the round table, talking to the moderator: Ángel Ramirez of Periodista360 and his new project, I commented in conversation a phrase that I have spent time thinking and I have fairly clear, although more than one I think even it may seem exaggerated or shocking. It is assumed that:
Each and every one of us, from individuals to organizations or companies, we are now, like it or not want, media.
So what does this mean?
In the conversation that in addition to Ángel, there were the other two speakers discussed from Periodismo360 project, the fact that it was evident that traditional media as we know them were in decline, that the day is more complicated model was able maintain and which may exist in the same way that they have done so far. And increasingly, the ability to communicate was being distributed and democratized to the point that everyone can communicate and publish content to the world, opinions and news through social media. And more importantly, who do not, lose a great opportunity, and the benefit it brings.
But be aware that you are the new medium, not easy, not least because all we do not have to communicate as easily, in fact it is really logical arising media companies such as Angel, who from his journalistic experience the world of communication accompanying others convey the right message in the most appropriate way.
For though every one of us can be the new media, does not mean that anything goes now. This capability is going to become a new facet of our professional profile which will become essential, regardless of the sector in which we find ourselves. And advise, learn and manage the most optimal way to perform it, will prevent us bring consequences later regret.
Brands are created through communication, and communication especially in the areas where your audience. Whether you a brand/company or a personal brand, you must choose the most appropriate for you, according to their profile of your potential users and then the message, tone, frequency, and each of the parameters to define your communication as want it so you can achieve your business goals.
And as each day we are all more and more on social media, you have to find where your message is more relevant and in what way, and encourage those channels and forms, whether in addition to the blog, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn or whatever . And getting better and learning how to communicate and manage your own “means of communication”.
